Ways for Asians to Practice Allyship

It is no secret that anti-Blackness runs rampant within the Asian community, and while much of it may not be conscious or intentional, we cannot deny that Asians are in part responsible for the perpetuation of Black oppression.

The following article by Michelle Kim touches upon the complex history that exists between the Asian and Black communities for a better understanding on how we play a role in America’s anti-Black culture, and provides a short guide on where we can begin in order to actively demonstrate allyship towards the Black community. (As of late, the article has also been translated in 5 additional languages - Korean, Simplified Chinese, Tamil, Malayalam, and Japanese - for those who wish to share and spark a conversation with friends and relatives who do not speak English as their first language!)
