WHAT IS RECRUITMENT?
Membership recruitment, also known as โrushโ, is a period of time at the beginning of the semester where interested individuals can come out to our events and learn about the values of Kappa Phi Lambda and meet our sisters. Our sorority will be intaking an official class this semester and we are really looking forward to getting to know everyone better during recruitment week! Our recruitment will consist of 5 events where everyone can learn more about our values, chat/play games with our Active House, alumnae, and other organizations. We are working hard to try and provide the best experience possible within proper social distancing guidelines as your health and safety is our top priority!
DO I HAVE TO PAY?
Rush is non-binding and completely free, so everyone is welcome to come and have fun without further obligation. All of our events are simply a chance for you to meet the sisters of our chapter and learn more about what itโs like to be a part of Kappa Phi Lambda. Feel free to join us for as many days as you would like and enjoy some fun activities while making some new friends!
DO I HAVE TO BE ASIAN?
While Kappa Phi Lambda is an Asian-interest sorority, we are by no means Asian-exclusive. In accordance to our pillar of cultural diversity, we welcome any and all women of every background to consider joining. As a multi-cultural greek organization, one of our goals is to promote the awareness and acceptance of various cultures while providing a community where we it feels safe to proudly celebrate and share who you are. We often work with other organizations under the Multicultural Greek Council to host events that highlight the diversity in our community because we believe that rather than remain divided by our differences, we can build strength by recognizing and respecting each personโs unique value.
